Pause, Breathe, Reset:
A Wellbeing Retreat

11th – 17th October 2026 | Plaka, Naxos, Greece
With Ros Johnson and Jill Edmonds

When was the last time you truly stopped?

Pause, Breathe, Reset

When did you last stop long enough to hear your own thoughts?

Not a brief gap between emails. A real pause. The kind where the noise fades and you remember what quiet feels like.

This retreat is your permission to step off the treadmill. No performance required. No checklists to tick. Just the sound of the sea, the warmth of the Aegean sun, and the space to ask yourself honestly:

How am I, really?

Join us on the golden sands of Plaka Beach for a week of gentle movement, deep rest, and honest conversation — the kind that helps you find your feet again.

The Destination

Plaka Beach - Stella Apartments

We’re staying at Stella Apartments, right on the edge of the Aegean Sea. Plaka is one of Naxos’ most beautiful beaches—miles of soft sand, crystal-clear water, and a quiet rhythm that instantly slows your pulse.

  • The Vibe: Barefoot luxury. Think coffee on your private balcony, reading under the tamarisk trees, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves.

  • The Space: Spacious rooms, a shimmering pool, and shady nooks perfect for reflection.

The Experience

  • We clear the clutter so you can hear yourself think again.

    Breathwork
Simple, effective techniques to settle your nervous system and slow you down.

    Mindfulness
Learn to arrive fully in the moment — without judgement, without distraction.

    Visualisation
Guided imagery that opens up space for clarity and new perspective.

  • Take Stock

Thoughtful prompts to help you reassess where you are and where you want to go.

Sometimes the most useful thing you can do is pause. Not to fix anything. Not to have all the answers. Just to ask a better question.

Take Stock is a guided self-reflection tool — a set of honest, unhurried prompts designed to help you look at your life with fresh eyes. Where you've arrived, what you're carrying, and what might be worth setting down.

It asks the kind of questions a good friend might ask over a long dinner — the ones that stay with you.

You might find it useful if you're:

    • In the middle of a shift — a career change, a new chapter, a relationship that has ended or begun

    • Feeling the quiet weight of a life that looks fine on the outside but doesn't quite fit

    • Ready to move, but not yet sure which direction

    • Simply overdue a moment with yourself

There are no wrong answers. There's no performance. Just space to think — and perhaps, to notice what you already know.

    1:1 Support Sessions

Confidential coaching and counselling for navigating life transitions, burnout, and grief.

Sometimes what we carry is too much to carry alone. And sometimes, the most generous thing we can offer ourselves is someone who will listen without an agenda.[

Our 1:1 sessions are held in complete confidence — a private, unhurried space where you can speak freely. Whether you're finding your footing after a significant loss, feeling the slow drain of burnout, or simply standing at a crossroads and not quite sure which way to face, these sessions meet you exactly where you are.

    Sessions are available for:

    • Life transitions — retirement, relocation, separation, bereavement

    • Burnout and exhaustion from work, caregiving, or simply too many years of holding things together

    • Grief — recent or long-held — that deserves proper space

    • A general sense that something needs to change, even if you can't name it yet;

You don't need to arrive with a clear problem or a tidy story. You simply need to show up.

Journalling: Use writing as a tool to untangle your thoughts.

  • Sometimes the body needs to move before the mind can rest.

    Gentle Yoga
Each morning session grounds you in the present — stretching out the stiffness of travel and the quiet tension we so often carry without noticing. No experience needed. Just you, a mat, and the Naxos light coming in.

    Group Singing
Joyful, ridiculous, surprisingly emotional, and absolutely no auditions required. Singing together is one of the oldest ways humans have lifted each other's spirits, and we bring that into the week. Come ready to laugh. Leave feeling lighter.

    Excursions
Step beyond the retreat and into the island itself. A guided walk to the ancient Kouros statues brings Naxos's long, story-layered history to life, while an evening in Naxos Town offers winding streets, local shops, and seaside dining as the sun goes down. The island is part of the experience — we just make sure you don't miss it.

  • Fresh & Local

The food here tastes the way it does because we care where it comes from. Sun-ripened tomatoes, local honey, herbs picked nearby — we cook with the island's best and let simplicity do the work. Every meal carries the kind of intention that fills you up and sets you up for a day well spent.

    Communal Feasting

Shared dinners sit at the heart of life on retreat. Pull up a chair, pass the bread, and let the conversation carry you. These long-table evenings tend to surprise people — somewhere between the olives and the laughter, something shifts. Guests often tell us the dinners were the moment it all clicked into place.

    Inclusive by Default

Whatever you need at the table, we want you to feel completely at home there. Dietary requirements, preferences, allergies — just let us know when you book. We handle the rest, quietly and without fuss, so you can focus on the good stuff.

Hesitating?

Life’s busy. There will always be a reason not to go.

But ask yourself this: when was the last time you spent a week doing exactly what you wanted to do?

The sun’s warm. The wine’s cold. What are you waiting for?

Arrive curious. Leave inspired.
