We spend so much of our lives holding back. Measuring our words, quieting our breath, making ourselves smaller. What happens when you let go?

This is a retreat designed to help you reconnect—with your body, your breath, and your own unique sound. You don’t need to be a "singer." You just need to be willing to make some noise.

Join us in the hills of Naxos for a week of joyful expression, grounding yoga, and the freedom to finally be heard.

The Destination

Plaka Beach

We are staying at Stella Apartments, right on the edge of the Aegean Sea. Plaka is one of Naxos’ most beautiful beaches—miles of soft sand, crystal-clear water, and a quiet rhythm that instantly slows your pulse.

  • The Vibe: Barefoot luxury. Think coffee on your private balcony, reading under the tamarisk trees, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves.

  • The Space: Spacious rooms, a shimmering pool, and shady nooks perfect for reflection.

  • Led by Jill Edmonds & Ros Johnson, these daily sessions are about more than just hitting notes.

    • Explore: Discover the power of your breath, tone, and resonance.

    • Improvise: Play with sound in a safe, supportive group.

    • Express: Move from "performing" to "being." Find the joy in simply letting your voice out.

  • Morning Practice: Gentle, accessible yoga in the shade to open the body and prepare the breath.

    Connection: Emphasis on presence and grounding. Suitable for all levels (even if you can't touch your toes).

  • Walk with Giants: A guided walk to the Kouros of Melanes—massive ancient statues resting in the countryside.

    Sea & Sky: Gentle coastal walks, swimming in the Aegean, and breathwork by the water.

    Town Time: A visit to Naxos Town (Chora) to explore the Venetian castle, wander the winding lanes, and soak up the buzz of island life.

  • Fresh & Local: Think sun-ripened tomatoes, local honey, and dishes made with love. We serve hearty, healthy meals designed to energise you for the day.

    Communal Feasting: There’s something special about breaking bread together. Our shared dinners are relaxed, joyful, and often the highlight of the day.

    Inclusive: Whatever your dietary needs, we ensure you never feel like you're missing out. Just let us know, and we'll handle the rest.

Jill Edmonds

Jill has worked in Music Education for over 30 years, where she was Head of Music in a specialist music school.  Jill’s musicianship is augmented by her amazing inspirational teaching style and ability to get the very best out of everyone she works with.
In addition to her teaching qualifications Jill is also a trained Counsellor.

  • Fly to Naxos (JNX) (via Athens) or take a ferry from Athens, Mykonos, or Santorini. We’ll handle the transfer from the port or airport to the villa.

  • No. This retreat is for anyone who wants to explore their voice. Whether you sing in the shower or on stage, you’re welcome.

  • Not at all. The yoga sessions are gentle and designed to support the voice work. It’s about opening the body, not perfecting a headstand.

  • Yes. Our meals are home-cooked and we can cater to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements. Just let us know when you book.
