Getting to Naxos:

From the UK:

Option 1: Direct Flights to Mykonos

  • At certain times of the year, you can find direct flights from Bristol, Gatwick, and Luton airports to Mykonos Island, which is located directly north of Naxos.

  • From Mykonos, it's a short 45-minute ferry ride to Naxos.

Option 2: Flights to Santorini

  • Alternatively, you can fly to Santorini Island, which is a bit further away from Naxos (approximately a 3-hour ferry ride to Naxos from Santorini).

Option 3: Flights to Athens

  • Flights to Athens are available from most international airports in the UK.

  • Once you arrive in Athens, you have two options to get to Naxos:

    1. Take a short domestic flight from Athens to Naxos, which takes approximately 40 minutes.

    2. Take a ferry from the port of Piraeus in Athens to Naxos, which typically takes around 4-5 hours.

Alternative Travel Option from the UK:

  • If you're feeling adventurous and environmentally conscious, you can also consider driving to Italy and then taking a ferry from one of the Italian ports to Greece. Alternatively, you can drive all the way to Athens and then follow the ferry options mentioned above.

From Greece:

  • If you're already in Greece, you can catch ferries to Naxos from both Piraeus and Rafina ports. These ferries leave regularly, providing convenient access to the island.

Important Note:

  • Please keep in mind that the costs for flights and ferry tickets are not included in the Naxos Creative course fees. You will need to arrange and purchase your travel tickets separately.

Accommodation

Accommodation is at Stella Apartments or Paradiso.

Please get in touch if you have any specific requirements regarding your accommodation. e.g Single, double, or family.

All rooms have wifi access, ensuite bathroom, simple kitchen facilities, television and a safe.

What is currently required for entry into Greece?

There are currently no restrictions although some public transport and restaurants may still require masks.

What happens if I have to cancel my holiday due to illness?

EHIC & GHIC Cards

The EHIC has been replaced by the GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card). If you already have an EHIC you can use this until its expiry. The GHIC provides free or reduced costs on the state healthcare in the EU but is not a replacement for travel insurance
