Where do the courses happen?

The courses on Naxos take place in a stunning setting by the beach and very close to your accommodation, in an outdoor covered area, sheltered from the sun, with some sessions also taking place on the beach, depending on which course you are doing.

What can I expect to be doing on your course?

Each course consists of two training sessions per day with our expert course facilitators, sometimes more. Your day may begin with a stroll along the beach or a free yoga session on the beach before your training starts. There will be plenty of comfort breaks. Once your course is finished for the day, there will be plenty of time to get to know each other, write up your learning journal, explore some of the lovely local tavernas, go for a walk or a swim, or simply relax.

Who are your courses suitable for?

All our courses are suitable for adults over the age of 18.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings from unaccompanied adults who need any extra assistance. Naxos has limited accessibility for wheelchair users. However we are happy to source deaf interpreters (at an extra cost) for hearing impaired. We will also offer a reduced rate for carers. Please contact us with any questions with regards to your needs and we will do our best to accommodate them

Most of our course participants are solo travellers, but we also welcome couples, friends and families.

How do I get to Naxos?

Please arrange to arrive on Naxos the day before your course starts. This means you’ll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start your course. Of course, you can come earlier if you wish! We can help plan that with you.

There are a few different ways to travel to Naxos. You can fly to Mykonos and then catch a ferry to Naxos (45 minutes to 1 hour), you can fly to Santorini and then catch a ferry to Naxos (3 hours), you can fly to Athens and then fly to Naxos, or for the more adventurous, you can make your way to Piraeus by train or taxi from nearby Athens, and take the ferry (3 to 5 hours). Please see our travel and accommodation page for more details.

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive on Naxos, you will be greeted by Ros and Neil, the founders of Naxos Creative. They will offer you a warm welcome and provide you with some orientation information before showing you to your accommodation.

What is the accommodation like?

We have partnered with two fantastic local hotels which are located close to the training facility. You will stay in a double, twin or triple studio which has a small kitchen facility and an en suite shower room. Please note we do not put you in a room with someone you don’t know. Family apartments with two bedrooms can also be arranged on request.

Please see our travel and accommodation page for more information.

What about food and drink? Can you cater for my dietary needs?

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we will do our utmost to accommodate your requirements.

All meals provided by us will have vegetarian and vegan options. Restaurants and tavernas on Naxos can cater for most dietary needs.

What happens if the course booking has to be cancelled?

We understand that sometimes you may need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances and we aim to be fair to all parties concerned with our cancellation policy. Please see our cancellation policy page for all the information you need.

Likewise, there may be the rare occasion when we need to cancel a course, and we have clear guidelines for that on our cancellation policy page too.

What else do I need to organise and bring?

We recommend that you take out travel insurance.

If you have a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), please bring that. This entitles you to a reduced cost or sometimes free Otherwise, you can apply for a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC), which has now replaced the EHIC.

We suggest you check the weather forecast for the time of year that you’re attending.

Do make sure to bring comfy and loose fitting clothes and shoes as our courses are very practical and you’ll be on your feet taking part with us!

Do bring sun protection amongst your toiletries. Although much of our training takes place in the shade, there will be some sunshine too.

Please bring some Euros for any extras you need during the week.

What about the small print?

First and foremost, we want you to have an unforgettable, enjoyable, and affirming experience. But there is always a need for some small print. We have done everything possible to ensure that Naxos Creative is run professionally, safely and in accordance with UK and Greek law.
